About us
Learn how it started
We are Marilena and Thanasis, a young couple from Greece. During the pandemic, we were not able to meet each other, as we lived in different cities. But when things got better, we decided to start travelling together and explore as many places as possible. Being young and inexperienced travellers, we try to make the most of each trip by gathering information beforehand and we also try to make each trip as budget-friendly as possible.
At first we spent some time exploring places in Greece and then we decided it was time to start travelling abroad, too. After visiting a few places, we decided to make this blog. The main idea was to share our – limited – experience with other people trying to navigate their way through travelling. So, we present to you, Wander to something new.
Why Wander to something new:
Thanasis is a web developer and web designer and his main hobbies are photography and outdoor running. So, he is always eager to be outdoors and to be in touch with nature, captivating his surroundings on his camera.
Marilena is a translator and linguist, curious by nature and always eager to learn new things.
We thought that travelling – whether around our home towns or to international destinations – is the perfect common activity for us, as it combines our interests.
Given our love for nature and new experiences, we thought this would be the perfect name for our blog, capturing the essence of our life together.
